The staff is so nice and knowledgeable, and their prices are reasonable for the area compared to any other family owned LFS. I was over the moon excited to see that all of their male bettas are kept in well planted community tanks with peaceful shoals and not undersized, unfiltered cups like everywhere else I’ve been. They also had a heavily planted sorority tank set up for the females. Ignore the disgruntled reviews about fish dying that were purchased from here. That’s what fish do sometimes after a stressful relocation, it happens! That’s why a well established quarantine tank is so important for the first few weeks at their new home. All of their community tanks are clean, well sized, and none of their fish look sick. We will be back soon to get a betta for our community tank because this is the first place I’ve felt comfortable in knowing that I’m not buying an extremely stressed and already sick one.

Tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt because they had good reviews... But lemme tell ya, DONT go here. I have made multiple purchases and this is the last straw. Gold mystery snail from there, dead, cichlids dead, shrimps dead. The staff is rude, guy who answered the phone was asinine and only wanted to tell me how good their return policy has been for 30 years. Make sure you get there within 48 hours with all the carcases and water sample to get a refund. What a joke. All I got was $60 worth of dead shrimps, days of unanswered phone calls and then a call to my bank to dispute this bogus fish store. Maybe treat your customers a little bit better. And tell the old lady at the register to stop slamming the bags on the counter when she checks them out. Get bent tropic Isle. Pics of my healthy cycled aquarium that the poor quality shrimp died in and the poor quality shrimp

I always look forward to visiting Katie and her knowledgeable crew at Tropic Isle. They provide everything you’d expect from a fish store, and they’re happy to rehome animals! Their new location is also a serious upgrade, and their stock of captive-bred animals is especially enticing. Support your LFS!

I visited Tropic isle Aquarium today and was greeted by Katie, the store's new owner. Although I've been a customer of Tropic Isle Aquarium for over 20 years, the new location (686 Worcester Road [Rt. 9] in back) and Katie's fantastic customer service really made me feel welcomed. I've seen and chatted with Katie over the years and Mr. London could not have found a better person to continue his great legacy. The new store looks great and has lots of new fish additions along with supplies and food. Katie and the other staff were knowledgeable, friendly and took the time to understand my aquarium needs (I've got an aggressive 90 gal. tank with a Tiger Oscar, Convict Cichlid, Jack Dempsey, Electric Blue Acara, and a few others). If you are seeking to start a fun hobby or to re-energize or expand your current setup, visit Tropic Isle Aquarium. Truly the best aquarium store around. Highly recommended!

I'll take it if you don't want it anymore 😁
Seems like they have just about everything
Ember Tetras are a staple!
Hi They have lots of different size tanks including several used tanks. I bought a 72 bow front tank from them several years ago.
How old is it? Sometimes air pumps have a filter diaphragm that takes up air, if this is an old air filter and the diaphragm is clogged, it will no longer push air
Excellent. Face mask and social distance are practiced here.
No. This is not a bait store.
Yes and if they don't have in store they cab order and get it in a decent time
They do not carry in store but they are in touch with local and national breeders and may be able to order some for you.
They do have freshwater puffers and the last time i shopped there they did, but call first, hope that helps!
They do have them,. You will have to call on the specifics.
It's at the corner of Winter and 9 on the eastbound side of 9. Just west of Framingham State.
They do have a good selection of guppies and they seem healthier
Their assortment of fish is excellent. Call to be sure if you are looking for a specific one
I do not, but recommend calling them to ask
Good selection for live stock. Tank setup might empty your bank acct there though.
