Parking is convenient and close by. There is not much shade on the portion of pathway near the entrance so if it's hot expect to sweat buckets. The small portion of water designated for koi fish is nice but the water is very dirty making it hard to see them at all. It's a pleasant and peaceful experience overall.

Currently the garden us open but under maintenance. Good services of restroom and a lot of parking. Although thr parking is chargeable at $10. I loved the 1 pond with a few Koi fish. Would look forward to coming again when it is fully functional.

Beautiful. I loved the wife variety of nature. When I went last, the Coi fish had been moved due to the flood in 2017, but I still think that it is worth going to. The color variations and pigmentation of the fish is truly amazing. Also, they had geese the last time I went, and there were ADORABLE baby geese. (I added a few photos in the review.) This place can be good for birding, jogging, and taking a nice stroll or walk. Very Highly Recommend.

The giant pond is dry and the koi has moved to the West pond along with the ducks. Even so, the park is still nice and peaceful. Love it

I was hoping that the koi ponds would be open. When will this happen that they are stocked with fish and its possible to feed them from the small feeding coin-operated machines? Too bad this has taken SO long to get back up on track.
Probably not
No dogs or picnics are allowed inside the Japanese Garden. There are signs posted at this Japanese Garden attraction No dogs, and Stay Off Grass. The conjoined park ( Kelly Park ) dog on the 6ft leash are allowed and picnics.
They do, as I recall. I think there are vending machines next to the Koi ponds which take quarters.
There are no dogs allowed inside the garden but there is a park behind the garden where they are allowed.
no you can't
I spent the afternoon, about three to four hours. It was peaceful and I felt relaxed.
Nop
I think they are closed Christmas Eve and Day
Yes if your active uou could do it by bike not sure do you have cycel routes
No
The Teahouse does not serve tea at this time, and is closed for repair from the flood in 2017. We have heard the City is planning to re-open the Teahouse in 2020 at that time. You can join the Friends of San Jose Japanese Friendship Garden facebook page for updates of events and repair status as we receive from the City. The Garden is open on its regular park schedule as posted by the City on their website, and entrance is free.
Not sure if they charge for parking with disabled placard or it'll be at discount rate.
No, they have koi fish in the pond. Try Hellier county park.
Free until further notice.
Because of covid
So that there are no large gatherings of people, due to Covid restrictions.
There is construction going on, but the park is open.
Yea, they are.
i was in this garden in july 2020
Yes 15 dollars or so
No water yet 😥
I would think so... it's a public park
No water fall is under construction/renovation there is only one pond for viewing and all the fish were transfer there. Is till beautiful and relaxing to go see it.
They have a parking place of their own right outside. I think it's free parking there.
Yes
All is operational. Sorry, have no answer for you other than you going there.
Call them please
A little but you should wait if you want to see more color.
No this park open late and closed early even on summer time.
We did not pay had wonderful time sat in the sun humming birds the coy fish in pond the smell of Jasmin peaceful we did donastion to flood found
I've parked for free at a nearby stadium parking lot. The Garden itself is free.
No, not really....Although, since it flooded, they are really cleaning and fixing..,.
I'm not sure they have an hourly rate, all day was $6 except on holidays ($10)
No they don't let you feed the fish
Per ticket is free, but for parking is $ 6.
Hi, Gloria. I'm not sure what the park's rules are about parties and large gatherings. If you haven't already, I would call them directly. However, this is not really a place meant for such gatherings. There are no tables and the bathrooms may or may not be accessible; they were not open when we visited a few weeks ago. Also, this is a very small, peaceful, and tranquil place where people walk around quietly enjoying the beauty,so I'm not sure if it's the best place to have a party. Hope this helps.
Yes it's near the entrance of the Park
No, the parking is run by the city and is not free. They do accept the parking permits issued by the city for public parks.
No, i do not believe so
