To get ahold of anyone at this office, super difficult-had to try at least 3 times, and every 20min would get message saying “representatives too busy and I should call later”-and hangs up! I managed to speak with a lady who told me they don’t even take appointments and I should just walk in. Their hours 9am-4pm which is not convenient, they open “late” and close early and I needed in person appointment, I wish website would be less misleading and update information that walk-ins only available, no appointments. I went right before they opened up, arrived at 8.30am and there were crowd of people standing outside already. Everyone lined up nicely and as soon as office opened the door, representative came out and explained that people will be let in depending on what they’re there for. So pretty much half of the people didn’t get into a building-they were told they can take care of whatever they need online. I had application completed online which helped -thats the first thing I was asked (oh I would be very upset if would been sent away because I didn’t have it), I only completed as was hoping I wouldn’t have to go to the office at all. I had to change my name which normally in person visit only. Everything inside was very well organized, was honestly pleasantly surprised. Security guard walked out to hand in masks as they strictly required masks so if you don’t have one, they were helping with that. Check-in was very fast and waiting time after I was assigned to the representative was approximately 5min. The representative who processed my paperwork was very polite, very professional. Definitely good experience and I am glad to see that people at the office actually trying to help you. The entire time at the office was no longer than 15min! Service over the phone (I mean lack of people answering phones) definitely needs to be improved. People like me, who works during business hours, can’t afford to sit and wait for 20+ minutes for the phone to be answered. I had to use my lunch breaks and it is very frustrating but overall in person experience was very good.

Use to have a office number at el cajon number get ahold someone now y cannot get ahold on yhe gernal number to make a appt no one there at all say some office are only open by appt only they suggest make sppt no one there gas is 7 dollars a gallon just waste of time .

The worst governmental office I have ever been receiving service. They give an application at 10 and right now it's now 10:30 am and still waiting and here is people waiting from 9:30 am. But when ask them why still waiting the guard says wait and be patient there are people waiting for an hour. Is this reason? I am not being honored the promised appointment? If you can do it, please don't over promise.

Not sure if you have to have an appointment but I would suggest that maybe you do but call them very early in the morning like night start calling them about 5 minutes to 9:00 Pacific standard Time or you can just go in but it is better if you do go very early I had only took me about 40 minutes and you do have to wear a mask and wait outside until they call you to come in

There are specific hours that you can visit to drop off paperwork via the security guard and the drop box that's inside the office. Their website is not clear, or easy to find the info. And their phone number maze is a mess. Good luck!
