Go in to the local field office. If you are not to far expired they usually just make you pay the renewal fee. They could make you take the written test again, as well! If your vehicle license is expired and you don’t want to wait in line go to the Tag Stop on Fletcher Pkwy and they will have you in and out for a small fee. Worth the money!

I had the same issue. The solution is to use the DMV Service Advisor. You'll need to create an account. You'll end up with a code. Take that and whatever else they say you need and go to the DMV without appointment and stand in the EXPRESS line. It's basically the thing as having an appointment time-wise.
