While in the area on business last year I made sure to come visit Taylor. Boy, was I impressed! I've played guitar over 20 years now, and after all that time it was a joy to see where Taylors are made. I've wanted a Taylor as long as I can remember, and getting to meet the folks involved with building these fine instruments only hardened that goal. They don't usually sell guitars from the headquarters, but they did have some previously used demo models available. These weren't exactly what I was looking for, so I high-tailed it up to a local shop the next day and picked up a lovely Taylor to bring home. I plan to visit again just to see if any changes have been made to the production process.

I am incredibly thankful to be lucky enough to own a Taylor guitar! The craftsmanship and material quality is excellent, and the playability and tone can’t be beat. I was choosing between a Martin and this Grand Pacific 717 Builders Edition Taylor, and I believe I made the right choice!

I am always in awe of true craftsmanship, and that is what I saw at the Taylor Guitar Factory. The factory tour is astounding. To watch the women and men craft these beautiful instruments was awesome.

Looks like no one answered, I've had a Taylor for many many years, I always use the small elastic rubber caypos as I feel they are more gentle. I special ordered a parlor size after two Martin D35 That were too large for me as I am petite. The larger metal clamps were better for the martins but again I had to be really careful to not hurt the guitar. I hope to make a journey to the manufacturer from northern California to show them my tailor as I was told it was the 9th one he made when I ordered it many years ago he was just starting out.
I think the tour starts at 1pm, be there 15 minutes ahead of time.
I'd recommend keeping it in the case with a humidipak set for a few weeks. It gets very dry with the heat on in the winter which can damage your guitar.
Dont do ukulele repairs. Only Taylor Guitars.
He would Definitely know. :-) Glad to hear that they are available no matter where you are. Love you, Sweetie! Have a Great day at work, love! :-*
When boarding the plane you can check it onto the pressurized cabin so it is safe from any harm during the flight. Parents do this with strollers so that they are readily available immediately after landing.
