Its true what the news said I've witnessed it first hand with these folks I've mentioned below Employee Nicola is so dam messy breach of confidentiality I've experienced with her with my co worker. Gossip about my file with her. Also they don't help with housing I have 3kids starting over from prison work for urban alchemy in Wilmington how I discovered lasha and it's been a year still no housing John they supervisors is the worst lazy man I ever known. Quick to tell you what part of the process they responsible for. Elgin abother lasha employee computer illiterate. They give you a duffle bag then take a picture of you.. Not to mention I signed up for housing for my kids and I they send me to a program where they would only house myself and not my children. I feel very disappointed. And mislead. I feel violated as far as my personal information being discussed with others. Then when they done with they version of passing lunches out they give me 2 boxes of the lunches to give to the homeless people. The homeless don't be wanting the meals it's the same thing every week. So it goes to waste. I feel very let down.

Horrible response. It can take a month for someone to get back to you. Their automated system disconnects calls. This is supposed to be an organization to help the homeless. I don't know how these people define the word "help," but it would appear that they are primarily interested in helping themselves.

Not a big surprise that LAHSA receives millions in Federal funding and has outreach teams "playing every tax payer" with long breaks, throwing food for homeless away and stringing homeless along with promises of housing. Biggest corruption scam in LA and NOBODY regulating them. LA has gotten worse with LAHSA leading the way.
Michael Alspach
I signed up originally in 2008, in the year 2021 I was talking with them and they were telling me I was a month away from housing to being told I wasn't in the database and to sign up again.. I am a disabled american.. I feel I have been discriminated against in housing by the LAHSA.

211 total waste of tax payer money
Hi. Jackie. Call 211. Or. Go to lahsa. Homeless shelter program . They can help. Or. Path.
Wendy I'm new to this I I don't know how to use this but I'm trying I have the same story as you they say they have funds for the homeless but look at us trying to find shelter
Were in the same boat. Can't even get shelter without being screen. We get this, waiting list for shelters. We sleep in our car, and pray.
None they prefer to help all the immigrants and how's them first
An certified agency that you have been working with should be able to verify your identity, but you can then only get it by mail. Or they should be able to help you get your ID if you already had one so that you could then go personally and get your birth certificate
Check out LA Hop and it will give you the outreach services available. They should be able to direct you to a list of open shelters https://www.lahsa.org/portal/apps/la-hop/request
It's not a large staff, they spend time in the office and in the field. Since the pandemic began most have worked from home and goto the field. Just make sure you leave a message with a current working number.
Use LA-HOP you can make an outreach request and a homeless outreach team will respond and try to help that person! https://www.lahsa.org/portal/apps/la-hop/
I know a place then Wilshire and Lafayette Park where you can stay not sure if you had to be sober people are staying there
Union rescue iddim
Rescue Mission/Hope gardens oCEOAndyBailes is a dangerous mission InvestigatsASAP you can't say u didn't know now
Probably shortly after realizing that rapidly re housing an addict who is currently using drugs is a waste of time & resources.
Call 211 and they will hook you up with the services that you need. Good Luck!
Housing for health has been going through a lot of changes and restructuring. Try getting with your HFH case worker now.
CAPI Google it...might help
Gazzilions....and still counting
Hello, what area are you located? The agencies are broken down by area.
They are the overseer of other agencies that do the work. So they will only be able to refer you. Depending on were you wish to reside will determine where you are housed. Not everyone is placed in motels, not everyone is housed as quickly as the other person outlined. Since you are stating that you are a cross dressing I would suggest that you seek service in Hollywood or Long Beach were they are more equipt with someone in that lifestyle. I hope this was helpful. And the LGBT has housing
I agree with Tasia. I worked homeless sevices. Resourses are used up and always full. You should stay where you are. Good Luck!
They are not going to help you. They give you the run around and withhold resources from you and use them for themselves and their families who need help. They don't care about folks believe that!!!!!
Well all i can say. Is that call your county office . They have info to help . Plus they have this organization that is trying to help. Just like you. Plus call lahsa
LAHSA has some resources. But you need to find the nearest access center where ever you are. What type of work are you look to do?
Megan Emme
I don't know . But downtown mission . Or call the 211 they should help out asap .
You shouldn't come if you are not prepared. It is very expensive and housing is scarce. Too many people come here homeless and they are on the streets.
Call 211 and they have referrals to homeless organizations that can voucher you in a motel and offer services to get you back on your feet and into permanent housing . Also the homeless service authority has an emergancy response team .you can get referred to all of these services by calling 211
They don't help pay deposit. They over see the agency's that have been given the money to pay.
No they do not pick up
He would be considered TAY. Tell him to find a TAY provider.
