Like a military checkpoint. Had problems with my trunk. Went out and opened trunk. Had only an old spray bottle, and a tube of old glue. Tried to save environment. Told guy what to take. 3 guys started screaming. Like Military Police. Must stay in vehicle. Had mask on. Was more than 9 feet away. Officers on edge. Underpaid. Fearful. Probably. Friendly woman at entrance. Asked how I found out about S.A.F.E. 1 star. For her.

The guys at the Safe Center take items from your trunk and wave you on. Certain times of day are especially busy; you may have to wait in a line of cars to get in but it only takes 5 or less than 10 minutes. They will anything that can not be thrown in the trash safely.

After being closed for 4 months or so, now they are finally open. However lines are very long, and after a very long wait, sometimes over an hour, they don't want to take more than a couple of boxes, or items, or paint buckets etc..They ask you come back the next weekend. Who wants to wait for hours every time? People will just put all that hazardous waste in the trash, which of course defeats the purpose and goal of the collection Center. They really have to come up with a better way....

I’ve been here many times to dispose of electronic and medical waste. Before the lockdown, I had started noticing it getting more popular which is great! It’s usually one or two cars at a time, they wave you in when it’s your turn and then they ask you to put your car on park and turn off the engine. Pro Tip: Do not have anything else in the trunk/back of your car when you go, please only have the items you’re dropping off (don’t make these guys’ job harder than it needs to be; they don’t need to move your gym bag and paper towels from Costco to get to your e-waste).

Yes, in the Myla311 request electric waste and then fill it out. They will pick it up.
The E Waste facility Located inside the LA Glendale Plant they accept Electronic Waste Sat and Sun from 9am to 3pm except for certain holidays. I'm Jaymies husband and work at the plant so this is accurate.
They will take 1 per trip and only the household type
It's free!
Unfortunately we are unable to accept a car radiator. However, we will accept the fluid you drain from it. Then we suggest taking the radiator to a scrap metal recycler. Thank you for doing the right thing!
No. Only e-waste and hazardous waste.
Only in biohazard collection containers. If you do not have a container, they can give you one.
Yes, they do take plasma TVs.
Do they take music records?
They do NOT take tires. Check the website for a complete list of what they will reject.
