Been a Banfield wellness member for 14 years. Been all over the country as an over the road truck driver with my companion by my side. Then got a local job in Indiana for the past 9 years. Never had a problem getting an appointment or getting my 800petmeds approved. Last year I moved to Port Charlotte and have NEVER had such poor service for my pet as the Banfield on Cochran blvd. They don't ever have any appointments that are not a week out. They NEVER respond to 800pedmeds to confirm prescriptions. Ive had to go to other vets when I had an EMERGENCY because they didn't have time. My dogs elderly now and she had a life threatening episode happen and they told me to bring her in next week!! SHE'LL BE DEAD IN A DAY!!! No room for emerency visit. Take my advice. Find somewhere else to take your furry loved one. This location don't care about them only the money. They ha e some decent people working their but whome ever is running it needs to fired. Doing more damage than good.

I was disappointed that I couldn't get an appt for something other than regular checkups... No emergency services. I paid them over $30 a month for the last 7 years. Haven't seen a vet for the last 2 years. Had to drop the dog off and pick up later, but never saw the vet in person. I'm done.

Yoqui has been going here for years. The staff love him and he gets excited every time I leave him with them even when he’s not feeling his best. He’s getting older now (9 1/2) and has had some digestive issues. They always call me during their exams to update me on how he’s doing and if there’s anything I need to know about treatment options and costs. I know that when I leave him, he’s in good hands and he’s getting lots of love and quality care from these doctors. We have a follow up tomorrow for Yoqui. We’ll see you then! He’s getting better each day walking further and enjoying the outdoors, again! We’re both grateful for this staff!

You may want to ask someone about Petsmart, not Banfield.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 20, 2020
Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 20, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
