We did the $10 tour and tasting. It was a lot of fun however i do wish the tour was just a little longer. Our tour guide was this wonderful older lady,( i forgot her name) she was great!
We also bought food from the restaurant there, the pizza was pretty good and you have to try to fried cheese curds!!! The ice cream lines are obnoxiously long so we weren't able to get anything. The gift shop area was really big and had a ton of items.

The facility was fantastic! I’ve never been to a cheese factory before. I really liked the historical timeline. It was beautifully done. The cheese and ice cream was delicious. I wasn’t too happy with the lunch food. I thought it was just okay. The lunch food could have been better. But the ice cream with 30 different flavors made up for it. The free cheese samples also helped to make up for it. This place was BUSY so make sure you are ready to queue up and wait. I definitely recommend checking this place out on your way to the coastline!

Hadn’t been to the visitor center in over 35 years so I was absolutely amazed at the sight of the newish Tillamook Creamery! It’s modern, stylish, clean and so well organized. What a treat to visit here and learn how their cheese is made. Lots of helpful signs and pictures to help visitors understand what they’re looking at on the production floor. And the store is…wow! Besides all of the cheese, it features well selected Oregon made products and even suggested wine and cheese pairings. And everything you need to create a lovely charcuterie board, including a selection of stylish boards and utensils. Can’t say enough about how fun and entertaining this is. It’s like Disneyland for cheese. Oh, there’s also food and ice cream on offer. And spacious indoor and outdoor eating areas. Check it out.

First time back in over 10 years. My first visit was as a kid so there were a lot of fun memories tied to visiting again. Plus my family LOVES their ice cream and cheese. It has definitely turned into the “Magnolia Farms” of Oregon. There are a lot of people everywhere. So be prepared for crowds. The self guided tour is nice. It is fun looking down and seeing how the cheese is made. Lots of neat spaces with info on their farming, plus free cheese samples. The gift shop was fun to walk through, anything from t-shirts to mugs. They also have many of their products for sale. I gave it 4/5 because the line for ice cream was astronomical. Ended up not getting any, cause we didn’t want to wait at least an hour, if not longer. If you are a fan of Tillamook, but don’t want ice cream, great for a quick tour and perusing the gift shop.
Get there early and there should be plenty. We arrived at about 1030/1100 and there were very few casts in the overflow lot. When we left an hour later, the overflow lot was almost full.
Some items are up only for a limited time sadly. It's kinda like pumpkin spice drinks. They're only around during a certain part of the year. But when I was there in July, they had rocky road ice cream.
I also am not sure. What I am sure about is that they would be happy to answer your questions about shipment to Canada. I believe when we took the self-guided tour last week but that was in the signage on the wall in the self-guided tour was that they shipped all over the world

There is a self guided tour. You can read all about the process at the farm and you can see everything else from the viewing deck. Anything else being the cheese baking process in the factory. There are videos as well as hands on activities. As far as sing the whole factory, I'm not sure.

Yes. At our ice cream bar we sell a Dairy Free Mango Sorbet. Just ask the cashier or your server and they'll get it. It's in our freezer and we use a brand new scoop every time so no cross-contamination occurs. Hope this helps!
Tillamook Creamery is only closed on major holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving. The Tillamook Creamery does, however close early on certain days such as New Years Eve and Christmas Eve.
No. There are free tours where no appointment or reserved time slot required. You can just go in and get cheese samples and see the main cheese making floor.
If you want a tasting tour or icecream tour though you do need to get a ticket that costs money reserving your time slot for those.
Go to the Tillamook Creamery website and they can tell you if there are stored near you who distributes that great sharp white cheddar. It is fantastic !
Self guided.. you walk around and look down on the factory floor then you have the souvenir shop with food and walk out through the food court. We waited 30 minutes inline outside... You can also just go and get Ice cream or food from the food court without waiting in the main line.
Doubt it very much..... Just get a big cooler and put the ice cream in buried in ice, put the ice cream in a zip lock bag so it doesn't get wet.... Besides I think they aren't open, I was by there last week and the place was barricaded.
Cheese curds, macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches, fries and I think they had hamburgers, yogurt smoothies and a good selection of ice cream. The soda fountain had local sodas, cream soda root beer and coffees.
I love your Stumptown Cold Brew Coffee Greek yogurt and would like to know if the date stamp could be in a color you can actually read instead of turquoise on a blue background and in a location that is not over the other printing?
The tours are self guided. There are many signs with a historical retelling of the creation of the factory and how the cheese is made. They also have some interactive activities for kids.
According to the FAQ's on the Tillamook website, "The Tillamook Creamery is wheelchair accessible. We also have wheelchairs available to rent on a first-come, first-served basis."

They got 'em... Order the tomato soup and they will put some in there. The first bite is a bit alarming until you realise what it is, then it's wonderful.
Tillamook Creamery is a co-op of different farms. Their retail products don't include goat cheese, but if you visit the Creamery for a meal; they offer custom dishes and cheeses.
Do you folks have later hours to be open on weekdays in the summer?

It depends what you're looking for, but afternoon although extremely busy is in my opinion the best time to go. If you don't want the hassle of a huge crowd go earlier so you can get through easier without having to fight off a huge crowd.
Does anyone know if they are open on Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 22)? Or have a number I can call to ask? No one answers the phone at the phone for the number listed above.

Tillamook Pacific Northwest Apple Cider is one of their premium varieties and available for a limited time. I saw it when I was at their creamery, but they also have it available in certain grocery outlets too. Here is a link to all of their products. It is a self tour where you look at the production line from the upper level thru big glass windows. You can walk thru it fast or you can read all the info they have in every station. I did all the reading which by the way was really interesting, and it took me about 30 min. I hope this info is useful for you.
Every time we visit, the oldest cheddar is out of stock. The three and two year old cheeses are excellent, but we never seem to be there when the older cheddars are in stock.
Is there a best time or day to be there for that?

Yes. They have more samples but they're on the second level. The ice cream can be ordered from inside or outside. They offer unreleased flavors. The gifts and food are combined now. More name plate gifts like T hats or Tillamook shirts but way over priced. $30 for a T hat that is free advertisement for them. Really? Parking is far away and mostly gravel.
The cows were protesting the thickness of the slices, they had no choice but to make them thinner. I would contact the number on the package, not the visitor center. May your slices be thick again!
Not sure if they've had their grand opening for the new tour. The temporary building just has a few displays. The old tour was self guided. The new one will probably be too.
For now, it's just ice cream, grilled cheese sandwiches, burgers, and soup. In the very near future, there will be a new menu with more choices once the new visitor center opens.

The factory itself was opened in 1949. The original visitors center opened in 1980 and was expanded a few times. The visitors center was closed to make way for the new visitors center opening in 2018.
No cost for entry to the cheese factory. Btw it is a makeshift building now with museum like exhibits as the real cheese factory floor is undergoing contruction and is not open for public
A very nice walk through barn space. Gives a self guided tour/info of cheese, and ice cream. Great store for shopping and tasting. They sell cheeses of all kinds and the sell ice cream. It is all amazing. Ni factory tour at this time.
