Everyone at the shelter is helpful. There are a lot of dogs and cats to choose from. It’s clean. I found my new boy Costello there. Go check out all the babies who need a forever home!
Shelley Lowe
The staff there was very kind and helpful with us picking up our new fur baby to become a service dog. They had many many babies to pick from but we found our baby, her name is Bailey
David W. Martin (Leukas)
Adopted my beautiful Tortie, Duck there. she's so funny. They were great! Hardest part is choosing 'The One'! She chose me though! Thank you so much!

Seminole County Animal services went above and beyond for me and my new cat. After adopting "Oliver" (I changed his name to Ron Purrgundy) they called me within a week later just to check on him. He actually had started getting sick within a couple of days before that so they told me to bring him in. They had him seen by their vet and gave me medicine to give him for the next week. Turns out he had an upper respiratory infection. He's doing so much better now and I'm so grateful for their care and dedication to these little ones. Thank you so much for everything you've done for my new family member 💚💚 I'm in love with him already.

Call animal control
Do you still have them? Are any of them females. I’m looking for one.
I had to transfer my cat to the one of their carriers, and was not allowed to go back with her for the procedure. 😥
Usually somewhere around 50 or 60. My 5 year old was 50 to adopt there
Rabies vaccines and microchipping is done Monday- Friday 1-4pm and now one evening a month on Wednesdays. $10 each. Check the website for details.
Yes what kind of dog do you have?
Iam almost 100% sure they can...
Just go to the counter and ask them for help everyone there has always been polite and respectful
Hello is the Dalmatian still available?
Come down n see
It's best to go in person, as you know your pet best. If you don't see your cat, make sure you bring photos for SCAS.
All their prices are reduced
Go there and look for her cat, only way to do it. Tried to find my cat and that was the only way to know.
I would call them and ask. I'm not sure how that works but if they're not able to take the little guy. I'm sure they can give you info on other places that may be able to help. Also there is a rescue for dachshunds specifically. I think they're in South Florida though. But I would check them out as well. DARE I don't remember exactly what the acronym stands for. Dachshunds, something, rescue....? I had a friend adopt from there when I lived down south. I hope this helped you. Good luck.
Not sure they offer that, they recommend going to Spay N Save for low cost neuter/spay.
You can call the chip company and report your cat lost and ask them if anyone has called in and reported a found cat. They will do a lost report in their system! Also, call all your local Humane Societies, rescues, and vets offices in your area and see if anyone called about finding one! Hope this helps! Good luck finding your fur baby!!
So many dogs need your help so yes please go to the Seminole County Animal Shelter to get your shi tzu!
Lapoflove.com A mobile vet/euthanasia/hospice care/cremation service. Check it out! They can be a little pricy but, they give free quotes, and are very kind and caring. My friends and I have used them, and I believe they are cheaper than most vet offices or vet hospitals. Dr. Dion is great! This company serves most of the country. If you have a large old/sickly dog that is too heavy for you to lift into the car to go to the vet to be euthanized, this is the way to go and it's peaceful for the animal too. I do not know if they euthanize live stock but, they do cats I know and maybe other small animals. Good luck.
Yes you can.
No
Yes,yes, absolutely,if you don't do it,bring big trouble with others
5 days counting the day they pick it up
It depends on what species of animal it is. There are many organizations in Orlando, FL that specialize in helping animals of specific species. These resources can be found easily online. These organizations might be small non-profits or public resources that your county offers. It is much more useful to be knowledgeable about animals, and to be prepared to help them yourself. If the animal is injured, it will likely need to be captured and brought to a sanctuary or rehabilitation center. Be cautious when deciding to intervene with wild life, and do not intervene unless it is absolutely necessary. Ex: I once found a hawk with a broken wing. It had been suffering for so long that it had no reservations about being taken up by a human. Audubon was able to help because they specialize in birds. I offered the hawk food and water while it was in my care, and delivered it to Audubon ASAP.
Spay n Save in Longwood is the least expensive.
Animal control may have a cage to borrow. Idk. Or a trapper place maybe. Prolly your best bet bc they'll come out when no one is around to get some food in a cage
No but u get a discount if u live in seminole
Call them tomorrow, make an appointment and they'll let you in.
No. Take him to Pet Alliance, on the same property.
Probably if they are clean.
It's not a no kill shelter, but it gives great care to the animals there. They're good people.
You do not need an appointment.
You would have to call them to find out
They'll take your dog. They are very helpful n knowledgeable. Professional n kind.
You need to go in person. The staff is too busy to check on every call or email, especially based on the number of animals at the shelter on any given day.
Apply for permit to trap them. Notify neighbors that you set out traps. Release those with ear tips. SCAS has a TNR program.
The shelter recommends you come in person to look for your pet, as pics can be deceiving.
Yes
Seek aggression training or rescues for aggressive dogs.
No. Might be able to direct you to a zoo maybe
They are severely under staffed for the services they provide. They offer low cost spay & neutering of pets. They have a Trap Neuter Return program. They have animal adoptions, mostly cats and dogs but sometimes other animals too, recently they had a dozen or so bunnies. Some of the adoptions are low cost for residents, seniors, first responders and vets. They have a foster and volunteer program. They certainly could use more volunteers as volunteer burnout rates are high. If you need to talk to someone dial 211 or stop in the shelter lobby.
To pet alliance they have vets there at affordable prices.
Free. Fees have been temporary waived
IDK If they do. You're best bet is to call them.
Yes & no.... If you are looking to adopt then you can that day. However, if you'd like to do it regularly then they have a volunteer class that you need to attend. They really need volunteers to help make the dogs & cats feel more normal. SCAS currently has a team that really cares about their wards & volunteers really make a difference!
Good answer Mr P. Ty
No not true.. but they do have video cameras if dropped off after hours.and do prosecute violation s
Call them and wash everything that the animal touches thoroughly just in case
That depends on the owner's wishes.
You'll need proof first. Next time the dog is in your yard take a movie on your phone to show to the animal control officer. Then contact animal control & ask them to speak with your neighbor politely about keeping their dog leashed & under control on their property. Let them know you have proof that their dog comes on to your property, otherwise they won't do anything without proof.
An emergency vet office is best. But a regular vet office will do too
Call your county's animal shelter. They may be able to help with that, or check for county's animal hospitals.
Newman Veterinarian Clinic Airport Boulevard Sanford Florida
Sorry sweetie I cant answer that. I adopted the cutest Weiner dog named Charlie back n December. Maybe drive there n talk 2 them face 2 face n they can tell u. Best of luck my friend. Hugs
Call n Animal Control to do a safety check
Ms. Gallagher, if they don't want them for any reason most of the local rescue groups would be grateful to have them.
why are you writing a question instead of calling snimal control.
Not sure. I would call them and ask them. They could give you a better answer.
value vet can help. google for number & locations.
You can see all pets available for adoption here http://awos.petfinder.com/shelters/FL306.html
U need to file a report in person. Commenting online isn't gonna get u anywhere.
Animal redemption fees The following fees apply: Impound fee $50 Boarding per day $10 Rabies Vaccination (if needed) $10 Seminole County Pet License (fees vary) $5-$25 Microchip $10 These fees may be paid by cash, personal check, or major credit card (service fee will apply). *Citations for ordinance violations may also be issued. You will have the right to pay the fine(s) within 30 days to the Clerk of Court or ask for a court date to contest the citation.
Yes they do
Back to nature near lake nona
Yes and yes.. depends on the availability. its a open shelter and they accept all animals. Last i saw they had a pair, few hogs and a rooster too along with your usual cats and dogs.
I'm not sure, I just adopted a dog.
They are always looking for help, as the positions are high turnover. Not sure the best way to put an application in. You should start by volunteering, that way they get to know you & you have an inside track to new/open positions. It's also a good way to see what each position entails & see if you have the stomach for it, because it's not an easy job.
Spca
Animal control charged me $25 but you can't be with the animal
Give them a call if they don't need them they may be able to direct you to those that do
Of course but you will lose all the fees you paid for pet , license etc.
I would give them a call they will more than likely refer you to spaynsave they are low cost vets
They are open on Saturday
The traps are loaned free of charge. You may have to pay a deposit which will be returned when you return the trap.
I'd give them a call, I don't think they have vet services there, but they probably know where you could go.
There is an app. Petharbor
Try to take the cat to Pet Alliance.
You should call them with this question. I don't think that they watch this for questions. They do have adoptions, so they may rehab the abused animals in preparation for their eventual adoption. But more likely they may transfer them to another facility/ non-profit group for that.
kittens are $60 and includes spay/neuter, microchip and vaccines!
You need to call them.
Yes they will take them
Yes they do have to put down animals on occasion but they try their best to find all of them a home. I just recently adopted my second dog from there.
Animal Services does not pick up or accept healthy wildlife. I suggest you contact Florida Fish and Game Commission for the rules on capturing and relocating wildlife.
It is recommended if it is your own pet that you reach out to one of the many rescue groups in the area. Animal Services main function is to help the stray dogs and cats.
Pet alliance
Animal Services does not have safety equipment or personal trained to climb trees to retrieve a cat. The best solution is to put food and water at the base of the tree to help coax the cat down. Be patient. Most cats will come down by themselves within 24 hours. If you don't want to wait, tree trimming professionals may be able to assist.
Animal Services does not have a spay/neuter clinic for the public. It is recommended that you check with several veterinarians and clinics for this service as price and level of service varies.
Call animal service
A spade and say was was good on the spading of our rescue dog I don't know anything about vaccines I would look at Value Vet
Animal Services enforces County Codes pertaining to domestic dogs and cats. Wildlife concerns should be addressed with Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission. Animal Services does not loan out traps to trap wildlife.
Yes, they have programs to help local high school students earn their community hours.
They do. But I would call them for pricing and scheduling.
They do but I think that you have to go in the morning and sit and wait for availability. That's how it is in Orlando anyway but the cost was well worth it.
Personally i wouldnt take your baby there, i have a vet that i use for all my babies. Have for years, he has been a dr for years so caring and compassionate as well as his staff. Its called animal clinic of casselberry on seminola blvd. Dr Hill is the dr name. I just recently had my 6lb pomeranian spayed great job. Its worth the drive. I wish i knew someone closer.
Awfully specific. You should just find one who needs a nice and stable home.
Sanford on 17-92 bring id and proof of address, donate pet food
There most definately are kittens. Sometimes it is a hit or miss. - I just adopted my shepherd there and i saw about 3 to 4 kittens and this was about 4 weeks ago. Hope this helps
