I think Judy's first responsibility is probably ensuring that the animals have a lifetime home. Many students move around after they get out of college so I'm sure that's a big consideration. That's just my opinion.

Hi Clint, if you fill out an application for a dog and someone else adopts the dog or you meet the dog and find it's not the right companion for you, we can easily move your application to another dog of interest. Fostering is free but, you will have to fill out a form to make sure you are qualified. Adopting is when you have to pay for the dog/cat.

The only way to get a free animal is from someone who has not had their animal spayed , or a stray colony. Hoping you plan to actually take care of the animal , you will take it to vet for checkup , which will cost more that a shelter adoption fee where the animal most likely already been vet checked and cared for correctly !!! No matter which way , a living being DESERVES PRoPER CARE. If you you not going to do that , DONT HAVE animal or child. Period !!

I sure they have opportunities to volunteer though they may require that you attend a orientation before volunteering at their facility. If you go to their website there is a volunteer form to fill out and then they will send you an email with the next orientation dates.
