The only way to get a free animal is from someone who has not had their animal spayed , or a stray colony. Hoping you plan to actually take care of the animal , you will take it to vet for checkup , which will cost more that a shelter adoption fee where the animal most likely already been vet checked and cared for correctly !!! No matter which way , a living being DESERVES PRoPER CARE. If you you not going to do that , DONT HAVE animal or child. Period !!
Rescues charge adoption fees usually at least $75. Occasionally the Humane Society has free adoption days.
