Did an application for my brother and it's been more than a month now.. I called the office they told me they don't see it in the system so they probably transferred it to the one in Malden. I called the Malden's office they don't have it. I'm wondering if the Haverhill SSI just took my brother's application and put it in the trash..

I have had so much difficulty with My Local Soc. Sec. Office. I was raised in Haverhill, I raised my 2 children in Haverhill. I just moved back to Haverhill after living in Boston the last 3 years. And I have had more trouble getting help here in my hometown from "My Social Security Office. I received more help and direction. Communications were open, they answered the phone on and returned my phone call.We are in a very sad state of affairs, that I don't think division and fend for yourself or die.!!!!!

I arrived at 8:45 and there were 4 people first. Nevertheless, 35 min. after that I was on my way to work. The young woman who treated me was very courteous and kind. My experience in Haverhill was very good, I can not complain. I hope that the staff continue this way, giving a good service to the user and it can be the difference between the other SS offices like Lawrence's, which is horrible. They should fire all the staff in Lawrence's office. I think it's better to close that office.

This office botched up my Social Security application and after three years my appeals to correct the matter are still ignored. The woman who took the application scolded me for using an office outside my service area ... it's a federal office and we can go anywhere we want. But she had to get up from her desk and do something..... Awful from start to finish.

You can get the forms you need to complete, and a list of documents you must present to request a new card. BUT... the forms and documents must be presented IN PERSON.

You can print your own 1099's if you log into your MYSSA account, which can be found by going to SSA.gov. You can also call us and we can send one to you in the mail.
Hi Ronda. We are very sorry for you loss. You meet the age requirement for survivor benefits, so it would all depend on if your husband paid into Social Security when he worked. If you give us a call we can easily run the figures for you and tell you your options. 866-964-4324 M-F 9am to 4pm.
No, not without your or your guardian's approval.
No but it is a good idea.
Did you try providing a death certificate?
The first you can do is go to the SSA and ask the question you ask here make sure you bring proof of private insurance you have so they can manage your case immediately amd try to remove it asap if that doesn't work the Commonwealth of Massachusetts can also privide help in that I. All and they help me really fast
If you live in MA and have a valid Driver's License, you can go to our website SSA.gov and file for a replacement card. You can also mail or drop off the application, form SS-5, along with a form of ID, which you can print form our website.
If you call at 9:01 am you can usually get a person on the phone . Google Haverhill said office for the number . I'm pretty sure they will mail it to you.
MA residents can file for a replacement SS card on SSA.gov Remember, SSA never charges a fee for forms or applications, so make sure you are on the correct site. The form you need is an SS-5, application for replacement social security card. You need to be able to identify yourself too, so we need to see an original ID, such as a state ID, drivers license, or passport. Please see SSA.gov for all options, or you can call your local SSA office between 9am and 4pm M-F. Thank you
Hi Natasha. You need to fill out an SS5, application for a replacement social security card. Then you need to provide original documents for the name change, such and marriage or divorce certificates, or name change document from the court. You also must provide original identification, such as state ID, drivers license, or passport. You can find the SS5 online at SSA.gov Office are still closed so everything needs to be mailed in or dropped off. Haverhill drop box is open M-F 9am to noon.
You must fill out and submit from W4V, for federal tax withholding. You can print that form for the SSA or IRS websites. You can mail, fax, or drop of the form to your local SSA office.
If you open a MySSA account, you can print a 1099 up yourself. Or you can call and we will mail a 1099 to you. You can also print benefit statements, change your contact info, and in MA you can file for a replacement social security card. Just visit SSA.gov.
Good Morning. As of today, we are still not open for walk ins. Our drop box is open from 9am-12pm M-F. Our phones are open from 9am-4pm M-F, and you can do most things online.
Hi Diane. You can print your own benefit letter online if you have a MySSA account. You can sign up for one at SSA.gov. You can also call our office and we will mail one to you. 866-964-4324 M-F 9am to 4pm
Hi Scott. Until further notice, all SSA office are closed to the public for normal walk in traffic. Please call your local office to see if you actually need to see someone face to face. Most needs can be met over the phone, by mail, and online.
Hi Anthony. There are different rules for retirement and for disability. But to answer your question, yes, you can work part time. Everything depends on how much you make, not how much you work. Some people make $12 and hour and some people make $100 per hour. We always count your gross wages (before taxes) per month. Most important thing is to always notify SSA as soon as you start working if you are collecting any type of benefit.
If your son is over age 18, and lives in MA, he can file for a replacement SS card online at SSA.gov. If he is a minor, then you will need to fill out a form SS-5, which can be printed from SSA.gov and both your son and at least one parent will have to mail in a form of identification.
Probably you will be getting both but regardless if you are eligible for Medicare you could always call them and ask them if you could be only with Medicare A for the time being.
Usually the only documents you need are the documents to prove relationship. So a spouse or divorced spouse must show marriage and/or divorce certificates. Children would have to show birth certificates. Once we take your claim, we let you know if there is anything else we might need though.
You need to bring to forms of identification to prove your identity .
Bring minimum 2 documents to prove age, identity and proof of citizenship.
Hi Joe. You have to be age 65 to file for Medicare.
If you have a caseworker then you should ask for that case workers name and ask for her and make an appointment that's it. If you don't have a caseworker can you ask to how to get a caseworker they will ask you for your social and assigned you a caseworker and you will be notified my mail with a caseworker then you can ask if you can speak to him and then that person will become your caseworker or she will be our temporary until the caseworker is assigned to you
That depends on whether you are collecting SSI or SSDI with SSI you cannot work at all with SSDI you are allowed a certain amount of money that you are allowed to make so it doesn't necessarily go by hours if you go over that amount they will make you pay them back by taking it out of your check my mother just went through that very same thing
They have to apply for them
I actually found that someone was working under my social security number in Florida somewhere I've never lived nor worked the SSA and I called the company and made them aware that that person is illegally using my information I have also gotten an account with Experian and they keep a track of my credit which is a very good thing to have it's like Life Alert
