A decent hotel at a nice location. Slightly dated room. No outside windows. The room windows were pointed towards inside open space which coupled with an overhanging roof structure was the perfect echo chamber which by itself is ok had it not been for the shady characters late at night being amplified to an impossible to sleep time. Also, there was no TP left in the bathroom.

Just stayed for a weekend and it was great, room was clean. Front desk was incredibly helpful and nice. My partner lost his wallet with our room key in it and they replaced it super quick with no hassle. Would absolutely stay again, just be aware that although parking was always available in their lot, it is TINY so if you have a larger vehicle it might be tough to park.

My sister in law and I booked this place for a one-night stay for an early morning event the following day. We reserved/booked almost three weeks out. I received confirmation after booking using their online website (not a third party like expedia). I received a confirmation about a week before. And I received a confirmation the day before. The DAY OF I received a call stating that the hotel was cancelling my reservation because they didn't have a room for me. What?! No offer to give me a different room than I booked, find a room at another motel, make a reservation for another day/weekend, NOTHING. In addition, the person I talked to stated that the night staff should have called me the day before and they didn't....as if canceling the day before would be any better. I was also told that confirmation emails weren't really confirmations of a ROOM; only a confirmation that I made a reservation. Again...what?! Needless to say, we had to completely rearrange our plans and could not travel to San Diego. Neither the front desk person nor the manager even seemed sorry that they were doing this and had no compassion that just a few minutes prior to me getting in the car, I was told I didn't have a room. Your response is ridiculous. Shame on me for not reading reviews prior to booking. There are multiple reviews complaining of this exact thing, some from months ago. That is the opposite of "unusual," but rather indicates a regular practice of your inn.

The room smelled like cigarettes. The smoke detector wasn't installed. The door frame had paper and such stuffed into the hole of the deadbolt and door handle, so the door wouldn't close/lock/open properly and it seemed the staff knew that there was something wrong with it but neglected to investigate or do something about it. I had to get a new key 3-4 times, even after removing the stuffing myself. The bathroom sink wouldn't drain properly. The floor of the bathtub was clearly dirty. Surfaces were greasy. In some ways I got what I paid for. The staff was professional and amicable otherwise. The location was also pretty good.
