Their fries are *chef's kiss*! The burger was also perfectly cooked and juicy. All around delicious food. All of the staff were very nice, even though I'm sure they were exhausted and hot as we were going through a heat wave. Their alcoholic drinks were also well made and my husband enjoyed their selection of beer.

What a great location. Good local beer... And they nailed my Black and Tan (it was even better when they first poured it!). Hard to beat the deck, though apparently they don't encourage "community seating" out there. Food was excellent. We will return.

The food was delicious. Their drinks were yummy. Three of four of us had the Blueberry ale, and the other had their signature mimosa. So good! They also let my guests bring their dog and offered him some water. Service was great too. The deck is a nice spot because it was shady on a super hot day.

Gritty's is locally owned with locations in Portland, Freeport, and Auburn. It's not a chain.

I'd call and ask. You can access the patio from a set of stairs in the back but you need to be seated by the hostess at the front. Being a full blown restaurant I'd doubt they allow dogs due to health code reasons.
