Really great selection but the customer service is not the best. This might be the end of the season it could explain the lack of employee presence and helpfulness. I've went 3 different days and Nothing has prices and to get them you must go ask at the front with is a hike.

Hired Gammon’s to replace our backyard with sod. Unfortunately we went through another business last year (per the recommendation of the pool company) to plant grass and it didn’t grow in at all. They also redid the edging that wasn’t properly installed by the first company. We should’ve went with Gammon’s from the start, they are extremely knowledgeable and truly care about their customers. They take their time, make sure you understand what’s going on, they’re easy to get hold of, super meticulous. We are so happy with how our yard looks now. We’ll be reaching back out to have them plant some trees for us in the future. Highly recommend

I am renovating a house and have a lot of plants, shrubs and trees to buy. I was thrilled to see the selection at a locally owned business. On my first trip - a Saturday about an hour from closing, I bought $440 worth of plants. When I got home, i noticed that one azalea of the 3 I bought was not in good shape. The leaves were facing down and many leaves were spotty. After a few days of rain, the other azaleas looked beautiful but one was still not faring we’ll. 6 days later, I went back to buy more plants and decided to exchange the failing azalea. Gammon would not exchange it because I had the azalea for more than 72 hours. I explained that I was here to buy another $300 of plants I simply wanted a different azalea. The young man in the office told me that I could take my $300 and walk! They have lost someone who would have been a great customer. It is so disappointing that a local business owner has such poor customer service because I prefer local small businesses to the big box stores. Gammon has left me no choice but to go to Home Depot and Lowe’s. In the spring, I will head to Landscape World in Lisbon Street in Lewiston. (They are closed for the season now.)

Moles go after grubs (which then turn into Japanese Beetles). Applying GrubEx in the spring in the areas where you find mole trails will get rid of both these pests! It's NOT necessary to treat your entire lawn (I have 2 acres and can't afford to do that!) - only the areas where you see the mole trails/hills...
Having had them deliver and plant several trees/bushes, I can tell you the charge is equal to the price of the plant... so if you buy a $100 tree, they will charge $100 to come out and plant it.
