First time going whale watching, which really turned into dolphin watching! Very cool all the way around. Even saw some sea lions. They had said they had a few whale sightings in the morning, I took the 12:30 trip. I think in the future I might book a couple of trips in the day to get more time. One in the morning and one in the afternoon, with time on the boardwalk in between. The price is very reasonable as well.

This is a perfect trip. The staff are friendly and the captain will share a lot of interesting knowledge. Most importantly, we were lucky enough to meet a lot of dolphins, and it was really touching to see them swimming around the boat. Like is said on the website: Nature doesn't have a script!

Went 7/10/22 at the 11:30am for whale watching cruise and had an absolute blast. The captain and crew were awesome and made it the best experience for me and my family. On top of that we saw a pod of like 80 dolphins, some sea lions, pod of anchovies (that the dolphins were hunting, which was also super cool to see), and a sunfish sighting. Couldn’t have had a better time and I feel I owe a special thanks to the crew of the 11:30am ride on 7/10 who were so nice to me and my family and really made it a magical trip. Will 100% be coming back to Daveys locker for another ride! (Edited review after posting to add a photo from our trip)

This was our first experience whale watching and it was great! We got the VIP experience so had separate seating, a free drink, and free binoculars! The crew were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we didn't get to see any whales (the whole area was going on 3 days of no whale sightings) but they covered as much water as possible, communicating with at least 6 other boats that were out and took a last attempt where we were able to see some dolphins at least!

That's a good idea.Maybe they will read this and follow thru.
Check your hotel lobby for coupons or groupon. Other than that around $36 per person. Anytime is good.
Yes it is great
That's awesome. Its always a good day when you can spend time with your son. 😀😀😀
That's exactly how my experience was with my kids. It was there first time and they enjoyed the whole adventure.
Not sure, but the price is reasonable and so worth it.
If you do it via Groupon, it will definitely be cheaper and worth going to.
Every time my girlfriend and I get on their boats, we take the afternoon trip and each time we see a whale and dolphins and sea lions. We've been very lucky
Same for us on our trip. We didn't see whales on this journey because we were out of season but Captain made sure we all seen something. A few pods of dolphins and sea lions. Next time I'm here it will be during whale season and I will be using this company.
Yes. But I'd be more worried about sea sickness, since you could be more prone to it.
I was 2day ago there. And guy who was ride a speedboat told. Morning, not sunny day is a good to see whales. But luck too. I recommend go on speedboat (expensive, but can be more close to whale, then boat (need a binoculars to see whales < no recommended). Season isn't, just luck to whale be there, 2day back was.
Same prices. !!! When they are allowed to come.
The closest hotels will be in Newport beach / Laguna / Huntington beach. And I think April or may will be a good time
They have limited seating, so reservations are a must. That, and they usually sell out pretty fast, so you want to book your tour as soon as you can 😊
Nobody wears life jackets it's a large boat. They have life jackets on the boat just like a cruise ship nobody wears life jackets on a cruise ship
I think the only animals allowed on board are service animals. As Lori stated, I'd call them for an exact answer
Hi nick , I went in October, the boat held 125 people . And it was a 2 hour ride .
I don't know about that time, but when we went on it in Aug. We didn't see any but did see a huge pod of dolphin
