It was hard to get a good night's sleep, what with the paper-thin walls, the loudly vibrating pipes and having a room right in front of the elevator. Sleep may have come easier if the hot tub had worked. Seriously, what kinda place lets the hot tub stay down during the busiest weeks of the travel season? Then again, the dishwasher rack was so rusty that it seemed ready to disintegrate. We even had to buy our own toilet paper when we ran out because of a "shortage"(there was plenty of toilet paper at publix and Winn-Dixie). No one who worked there seemed to know where luggage carts might be located at any given time. Nor did they go out of their way to help find them. The one saving grace was that this place was about a block away from the beach, but it's not enough for more than one star considering that there are plenty of other options if beach proximity is of concern. Next time I'll stay at a higher quality resort/hotel, that's either further away or at a higher price point. Hopefully one where they have a working hot tub.

I don't have anything bad to say about the staff because I did not interact with them. However, the hotel is dated. Looks like the same furniture from when it was built. The room was clean though as well as the hotel in general. The pool is nice but they have the sun deck and hot tub closed, waiting on an inspection is what we heard. The hotel is on the northern end of Fort Lauderdale and everything is pretty much a mile away. The few restaurants in the area are priced like many others in Fort Lauderdale but they charged and automatic gratuity and a service charge which no one could explain. Neither of these were charged at the restaurants on las olas or in the surrounding area. As for the beach, it was nice but getting across the street was a pain since you had to wait so long for the signal to change. The park across sunrise Blvd was nice and had a few trails to walk in the greenery. Overall it was an okay stay but nothing more than a 3 star can be given.

The bed was so bad. after a week sleeping there, you want to just go home ! There was a door from my unit to the next unit, voice was coming like the guy in the next unit sitting right beside me. (The door was not insulated at all. A big gap between door and floor). The people working there, were good.

Location, location, location. Room was clean, but a bit dated. The pool was nice. Liked the game room, even if the games were a little junky. Sauna was nice. Hot tub was closed (due to construction, I think?) Would have been nice if they would have let us leave our luggage there while we waited for our room to be ready, but the room was ready hours early which was great. All in all this place was perfect for our needs thanks to being clean and a 1 min walk to the beach.

Service animals only. Bahia Mar is a Hilton property that does allow pets though and it's just on the other end of the beach, not too far away.
