I stayed at one of the dv shelters for almost a year and instead of getting help I was put on the street in February with my then 6 month old daughter. Thankfully I was lucky enough I didn't have to go back to my abuser but another younger women there was not so lucky and ended up at the hospital. She was kicked out with less than 24hrs notice bcuz they felt she could afford to find her own place to live. She was still going thru the emotional trauma of being beat mentally and physically

I am wondering if they have emergency shelter for men when they are emotionally and phycology abused? Are men allowed at same place or would they be treated with discrimination and placed elsewhere?
