WOW!! A must-visit / must-stay in Ft Lauderdale! 5+ star service from the moment you arrive. We stayed for a week for our 1st anniversary & belated honeymoon and it was positively PERFECT. The Pelican Grand has something exceptional for everyone. Just as much romance for couples as fun for families or peace for solo travelers. I couldn’t imagine any better / won’t find a better place to stay. The staff is way above & beyond friendly and helpful! Oscar and Arron were especially great to us and made us feel so welcome like fast friends. We want to return for sure, but honestly would even come back just to see them again! The beach service was outstanding, and beach server team has the happiest attitudes- smiles & blissful vacation vibes to set the mood for your happiest beach days. The pool has a very cool/unique lazy river full of tubes to float around on, which is honestly just as much fun for adults as kids. The poolside bar/restaurant service is top notch. You will have a tropical drink in hand and/or great food at your pool chair every second you desire. The staff went out of their way to make our anniversary date super special and gave us all sorts of extra attention. It was so kind we were moved! Even if you aren’t celebrating anything special, the beauty of this resort will move you. The rooms are luxurious with gorgeous oceanfront balconies. The rooftop is decked with a stunning large terrace that views the whole city and ocean for miles (also ballroom to host events up there). The porch full of comfy chairs and rockers to relax and watch the waves, often with live acoustic music in the background. And fire places on the beach with chairs around them for evening. There are games and activities for children and weekly events for all too. Don’t pass up this amazing place!!!

We enjoyed the oceanfront view from our balcony and the layout of the room was great. The food in the restaurant was excellent. However, for the price paid, there was a lack of attention to detail. Housekeeping was mediocre. Bathroom had some minor problems. Construction during the day disturbed peace. We also felt the expectation to tip each service provided, even though that was included in the hotel fee already.

We came for the sunrise from the veranda and for breakfast at their highly rated restaurant. (We were not overnight hotel guests). Both were wonderful. Our server, she was great and the breakfast was perfect and delicious (forgot to take food pics). Morning beverage selection was excellent and many choices. Eggs Benedict we're perfect, side of fruit, side of bacon, orange juice and Cappuccino. Nothing disappointed and my spouse felt the same way. We will go again.

Amenities are wonderful, staff are very friendly and always looking to help in any way. Beach area and patios are great! This is a family resort but can work great for a romantic vacation as well. Our room was very nice near the top floor with a balcony. Room on open, clean and a great spot to relax. Looking forward to coming back to the area and this will be on my radar for top spots to stay.
