A small but extremely nice campground where you can get that much needed R&R. The campground is part of the county park which offers many amenities such as an outdoor workout area, a beach volleyball court, a badminton court and many hiking trails with much wildlife. There are also playgrounds for the kids and a hall that can be rented for private events. A central bathroom with showers that is designated to campers only is an easy walk from most campsites. Showers require tokens which can be purchased from the rangers. All camp sites come with water & electricity that also include a fire ring and picnic table. All driveways are asphalt. A dump station is also on site and easy to access. Park staff members were friendly and were often visible. Tip: If you reserved and paid for your site online you can go right to your site after 2pm on your checkin date. A ranger will then come to your site to handle your checkin. You can also purchase firewood from the ranger at that time. The main gate promptly closes at sundown. After hour access can be made through the south entrance near the trail head. No visitors after 10 pm.

Yes, full hook up overnight parking by reservation only, approximately $29 a night, $5 fee for each reservation. Each additional vehicle is $4 per night. Recently completed utility upgrades. Last time we were there 2 months ago, only top half open. Took several days to get a time slot to rent for a few nights. Also has separate restrooms for overnight campers only. Showers 25¢ for 4 minutes. Watch out when someone flushes toilet, shower water gets cold, not hot as one would expect. The showers are inside building with no solid windows or doors. Meaning if it's 50F outside it's most likely close to that in the restrooms. We found them to be extremely clean and well stocked There is 1 large handicapped shower per sex with bench seat & regular shower head, in addition to a shower hose. You can set water to dispense from either nozzle head as desired.
Fishing is okay. The fish in water are not edible due to runoff from the 76 Highway. Several die-offs over the last couple of Summers have reduced fish population in both ponds at Guajome. Catfish bluegill and small Bass. Carp used to populate the lake but unknown if any survived last die off. There is no fee for fishing the lake as long as you have valid fishing license.
The tables and shelter area are free, but they are first come first served. Each vehicle must pay for parking and there is no nearby alternate space to avoid the fee.
Yes, with a License.
have been going to Guajome for 30 years. always see dogs off leash. but normally they are obedient. I take my 14 pound pup there and dont have any issues.
$100/night plus a $5 reservation fee. So, 1 night=$105, 3 nights=$305.
Hi Elizabeth I'm one of the volunteers here at the park. Dogs are welcome in the park and Campground but must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet. There are dog stations for disposal of dog waste and free dog poopy bags. If you're coming to Camp make sure to make reservations as the camp is going through a major renovation right now.
No, they have a lot of rules because it's a reserve park
Tent camping is allowed but I don't recall the amount
Around $15 per night
$3.00 dollars in machine for day use
No bait but Target and Wal-Mart are just down the street.
I think it was around 30 bucks when I stayed I reserved on county park website. We had 50 amp electric and water no sewer hookup. They have a cleanout station.
Rules, rules.
Yes. There are a few promotional days every year when you don't need a license, but in general you've got to have a license.
It was thirty a night for a camper so no more than that, such a very clean, cute park!!
I'm not sure what the park rangers would say, but you definitely can't park at that time. It's clearly marked on the streets outside of the park, and the gates will be closed to enter the park. But, I wouldn't expect anyone to sweat you otherwise if you went for a run at that time.
Ok
What type of bar? For pull ups yes, there is also a push up bar, if that is what you are asking.
yes $5.00 a bundle at the ranger station.
Some spaces are big enough for two cars. Must be parked on the asphalt. It's best to call the ranger station at Guajome before to be sure. $4 per car.
No, unfortunately you can't.
That is a question I cannot answer, check website or call and rangers can answer your question.
Yes, if you buy a senior discount pass for $15.00 it's good for a year. .
As far as I can tell some people actually live here. At less than $900/month all utilities included it would be an awesome place to live full time. Do not know if there is a limit though. 14 days per site. You can always reserve another site. You ck out at noon and co in to the new site at 2 pm
They have at least one I have seen. It did have signa indicating no smoking and no pets though.
I don't know, but the R.V. hook-ups look very up-to-date. Lake, hiking trails, and pet friendly.
The best way to learn about volunteer work is to contact San Diego County Park and Recreation. Ask for the volunteer coordinator.
Two outlets. A water spicket. And a full size picknick table With a bench on each side. I really enjoyed staying there.
Camping rates are $29 per night plus $4 for extra vehicle. Parking for day use of the park is $3
$3 per day or you can buy a pass through the park system for the entire year good for all of the San Diego County parks. $40 a year I believe. There is NO free parking inside the park its self but from 8am until 8pm you can park along the road at the east end of Guajome Lake road.
No
