Hi, i live just a few miles from here and would like to start walking my 10 pound dog at the park. I always keep him on a leash, however I heard there is a problem w/ people letting their large dogs off leash. Is this really a problem?

have been going to Guajome for 30 years. always see dogs off leash. but normally they are obedient. I take my 14 pound pup there and dont have any issues.

No the park staff are very good at enforcing the leash rules on the main trails.

I rarely have seen dogs off-leash here - when I have, it's been after an "escape" and quickly fixed. Enjoy walking your dog here and stay aware just as you would anywhere else!

There's always a slight chance that can happen. I have been going there for years and can recall only one time I saw a dog off it's leash.

I've not seen dogs off leashed here and I go frequently. The Rangers are very visible.

I have not encountered any dogs off leash at this park.

I really don't know as I don't have a dog with me to walk. My daughter works there and has 2 dogs always on leash when they walk them around the trails there.
