Very happy with the repair on our large flagstone patio. Devon was very meticulous with the cleaning of the joints and filling. Taking the time making sure it was just perfect. George oversaw everything and went out of his way to make sure we were happy with the color of stone for our posts and the acid wash, never making us feel bad when asking for a change. Old fashion customer service was amazing. Well worth the wait for their service! Thank you fellas!

This is hands down, the best experience I've ever had with a contractor. From start to finish, every person that I interacted with was professional, courteous, friendly, and they took pride in their work. We wanted a 100 ft long by 4 ft high retaining wall and new stamped and colored patio pad. Rick provided us with our bid. He showed up on time, spent plenty of time with us to understand our needs, he listened, and offered ideas or solutions to our project. Rick provided his bid and expectation for timing quickly. After we accepted their bid, George, the foreman for the crew came by the house and listened to our needs and provided great direction with work that I wanted to complete prior to them starting. The crew that built the wall, Travis and Devon, showed up on time every day. They worked hard and efficiently, and they were accommodating and professional. These guys took pride in the work. After the wall was completed, Chris and Corey and their crew of guys came in to do the new patio pour. Again this crew showed up on time and acted in a professional manner. They were very accommodating to us, for example, we decided we wanted to make a change to the step after the form for the step was already completed and they made the change right away. They all worked together to get the pour done and the final result is fantastic. The Wall exceeded our expectation and we are so grateful for the quality of the work and the high level of customer service they provided. It is no doubt to me that they have a strong and positive culture and it shows in their craftsmanship and professionalism.

Description of Work: What started as a request for an estimate to replace a retaining wall that had broken through, grew in size and scope to include: • Doubling the length of the original retaining wall, • Grading and installing a catch basin to help route runoff water from up the hill, • Redoing the retaining wall on the opposite of the property, that had also broken through, • Redesigning and replacing the front walk and steps to our house to remove the tripping hazards, • Pouring 2 new patios, and using the concrete from the old patios in the new retaining walls, • Pouring a connecting walkway from a current walk to one of the patios Each step of the way they were ALL open to hearing our ideas and visions and we are very grateful for their experience and craftsmanship. A special thank you to Darbaz, (the cement wizard) for his ability to design and build the new steps and walkway to our front door. He listened to our ideas and made them better. The curb appeal is striking. The new walk and creative mini-wall gives us an entrance that has a graceful elegance and improved ease of access. The patios are properly reinforced and beautifully finished. The masonry retaining wall is gorgeous and because we extended it the length of the yard, we expanded the usable lawn/garden space in our front yard by about 150 square feet. When construction started on the retaining wall on the other side of our property we found that the roots of the 40 year old laurels necessitated the use of a different retaining system, which the crew explained and gave us options and pricing before doing any work. Also, we are glad we followed up on their recommendation to have John’s Waterproofing come and take a look under our house, when we were discussing the management of the runoff on the south side. John's inspection revealed considerable erosion in the crawlspace from years of water intrusion that was weakening our foundation and so we were able to get that corrected. Since the wall and patio work was finished in the winter, we are waiting until later in the spring to finish the landscaping.

Yes we can repair, please send photos or feel free to give me a call to discuss in more detail. Rick, (503) 735-9255.

Hello my neighbor's property sits 3 ft above mine they have a cement retaining wall they have a tree that has grown and is pushing the retaining wall over do you have any suggestions we've had an arborist look at the tree and said it is okay

The Wall will tell you if the tree needs to be altered (I suspect it will). If the tree roots need to be cut back, the arborist will need to say if the necessary cutting will harm the tree too much. The Wall will also recommend the best option for repairing or replacing the retaining wall.
