i will never understand why cold, insensitive, persons with 0 people skills get jobs in places like this. the receptionist was a rude, abrupt, uncaring, unpleasant woman. the second lady that checked in our cat was no better, and was very plainly not listening to anything we said to her. on top of that, she had given us VERY incorrect information on the phone before we came in. basically she lied to us....then tried to blame it on "one of the new people we have." sorry, lady, but we both recognized your voice. 👎👎 we'll see how the care goes, and update this accordingly. i would NOT recommend this location to anyone after the horrible experience today, and listening to how they talk to people there. they're even short and rude with some of the "lower level" younger girls that work there. kinda seems like a generally toxic environment. would give 0 stars if it were an option. ugh.

They were nice & helpful. I brought a stray dog in (have 3 at hm) & while I was there another stray dog was brought in. They generally have many many animals 4 adoption!! So if ur looking 4 a dog please go there & adopt.

Staff is so professional and ensures you know as much history as what is available for all the pets. They also ensure you know what you need to care for your new pet. There are many to choose from. So many dogs that need homes.

Animal Control Officer was awesome. She quickly and delicately removed a possum that was living under the hood of my truck. The lady was fearless. She said the animal would be checked and then released to an area nearby. Happy ending for both me and the possum.

I should've been more clear. Do they put down animals that are not adopted? Is this a "kill" shelter?
I'm sure you could call ASAP
Do you mean " lost dog"? What person? Grab the dog you found in your yard? It would help a lot if you make it clear what you are asking!
They have previously. They especially need blankets.
Put an add in lost and found animals.make fliers and put up around your neighborhood.put poaters at local vets offices.they often have a lost pet Board up in the office.good luck.
I wish I could take him in but unfortunately the landlord doesn't allow pets here, it would be best for you to take him to the shelter.
Yes. Call and make appointment. They also offer low cost vaccines and microchips.
Hi Olivia, give them a call. If you're in their jurisdiction then they should be able to assist.
They do but only at certain times of the year. The local new usually reports when they have free adoptions.
Call animal control. They will come out and investigate
Yes but volunteers must be over 18
Yes, you should take them to a shelter so they don't get infected or get injured and so they can get proper help and nurturing
do you still need a home for your cat?
That's so sweet of you to be so kind God bless your soul
Yes, I have seen her.
You can view the animals, cats, dogs and rabbits on weekends only. I think until 2p or 3p.
Humane society?
I'm sure you can. You should call them to be on the same page before you go..
No I wouldn't take it there they will put it down and kill it why can't u take the cat with u?
I dont think theyll put downa dog just because housing. Theres alot of fosters and adoption resources at the humane society .
They do.
It is considered a public nuisance and is illegal. Check out this site: https://www.sdhumane.org/magazine/stories/is-it-against-the-law-to-have.html It will tell you what to do and where you need to go, depending on the city you live in. I have read that SDPD will not respond to barking dog issues. I hope this helps!
Go for option #8 to get a live person. Know that they are closed on Monday's and holidays
I don't think they do that for people's pets. You can call them an ask but a Vet is probably your best bet. El Cajon Valley Animal hospital is a good place to go. Clean, not exspensive and they care about the animals alot.
You can go to the Humane Society in Bonita where they will also microchip and give your dog a rabies vaccination.
They can and I think it's $85.
What is your question? Also, BUY means purchase so you must mean BY?
Sorry for your loss. I don't know. Please give them a call.
Okay. Thank you.
Toys that are in somewhat good condition.

Dogs, cats and we saw goats there too. Probably other farm animals.
Probably not. It wouldn't hurt to ask if they could point you in the direction of some organization that might help.

The price charged is "adoption" fee! Not for sale! 🙄
You can surrender the dog at the animal shelter.
Looks like you're a cat lady LOL... Unless he's abusing and neglecting his dog there's really nothing you can do about it. The dog is gonna bark if it's bored, doesn't get walked a lot and is energetic. If you call the police then you're gonna be labeled by your neighbors as a b*tch for calling the cops on a barking dog and you're gonna be hated. The only thing I can suggest to do is to buy a dog whistle and everytime that dog barks give the whistle a good blow and see what that does LOL.
I am.pretty sure they do.
Don't know, call them. They do take farm animals
Thank you for your responses. These dogs want in and the neighbor won't let them in, in fact ignores them completely. This is happening over and over again. I'm tired of it!
Animal control may be able to help but they may tell you to hire a person who does the removal humanely. Then block all the access points
I'm not sure if they take volunteers or not just call and inquire about what they offer
You can go there and pay for the dog licence. They included a rabies shot for free with the license fee. I think it took about 10 minutes in and out the door.
You really should take him to the agency responsible for animal control in your jurisdiction that is where an owner will be instructed to go look for their lost dog, always. He could have a microchip that is unnoticeable unless you're equipped with a scanner to detect the microchip that information will be used to find its owner. Agencies responsible for animal control are equipped with the scanners and scan each animal that comes in Lost if the animal does not have a microchip then implanted a microchip will ensure ownership for the remainder of the animal's life therefore always linked to you or the person that adopts the dog. You have a kind heart taking the Lost animal into your home to protect him but you also have a responsibility to do everything you can within your power to find its owner and that would be by taking him to the animal shelter responsible for housing lost animals in your jurisdiction. I wish you and the dog well, take good care
If you do not have love for an animal ,,, talk to pet rescue, it does not cost anything and they look for a home for the animal ,,, an innocent kitten ,,, a lion should be presented to really bother😂
Depending on where you live in San Diego county for starters. If you live in an unincorporated area, contact Animal Services. If in an incorporated area call the Humane Society on Gains Street.
Call the Department of Animal Services. Only if you live in an unincorporated area of San Diego. Otherwise, call the humane Society on Gains Street.
It all depends on where you live. If you live in an unincorporated area of San Diego then call DAS. I would strongly urge you to call the San Diego Humane Society and get connected to Project Wildlife. They will rehab the babies and return them to the wild.
911. Seriously, they will send an Animal Control officer out.
The county animal shelter is only covering the unincorporated areas of San Diego county now. This was effective July 1, 2018. As well, the San Diego Humane Society at 5400 Gaines St. Handles everything else. El Cajon has it's own shelter. That is why the numbers seem small.
That would be the entity that collects your garbage. Not animal services. So call the sanitation and trash removal.
No, but you can disposal yourself in the garbage.
It depends how busy they are or if the dog can go right away. It can be as quick as 1 hour or as long as 3 I've done it multiple times
Thank you for the info but will they take them
Youre right Jeanette thank you for educating yourself before posting untruths.....YOUEL S........You shouldnt post on topics u know nothing about.
Have you tried to see if you have any friends or family that might be able to take her in? Maybe reach out to some of our local rescue partners to see if they could help you? You can always give us a call to see if we have room to consider her for adoption---summertime tends to be awfully full on cats!
Yes you can and you can call also They do not put her down. They hold them for around 7 days and give her a full exam then they put her for adoption
No. You must be 18 to volunteer here.
You need to go to a pet store and get flea treatment. Not animal control. They will help you with anything and everything. Petco. Pet smart . Ect Or even a vet
Not appropriate
If u r a senior citizen it costs $35
Okie dokie...will do, if ever I'm in 19th area...wish U lots of luck on your seeking journey... the area...
U would have go or call the shelter....I just went there to get shots for my dogs......
I don't but I know you can
I think they would, 'cause I've seen teens helping around when I've gone to visit...
There's only one thing I know about that place and if they kill'd my beautiful Dog wat do you think there going to do with a por little duck.
No
Animal Services!!! A dog got hit on my street and we called them and they were able to pick him up within 30 minutes to take him to the hospital.
Yes i could but why?
I just got new tags for my dogs and put myself as the owner that's what I did
On the wrb site
I'm not really sure on the spaying Services there but they do offer them on positive of that and I believe they're very minimally Christ if not the animal shelter in Chula Vista which is not far has them so either way
Do I have to pay to adopt?
Does she have tags if do about $175
Every time we go we see young kittens. I don't know if they are 1 month old, but they are certainly young.
Yes please do bring them here. This place is amazing!
