A cat in my neighborhood had about 5 or 6 kittens and they've been wandering around the neighborhood and in my backyard alone. Does anyone know what I should do, should i take them to a shelter?

Yes, you should take them to a shelter so they don't get infected or get injured and so they can get proper help and nurturing

yes, be sure to catch the mother along with the kittens. the kittens can’t survive on their own in the beginning and they need their mom. the mother also needs to be fixed and eventually released after the kittens reach a certain age.

Make sure it's a no kill shelter.

Better off dying out there than being euthanized in a cold place
