Animal Services!!! A dog got hit on my street and we called them and they were able to pick him up within 30 minutes to take him to the hospital.

You should take it to a cat rescue. They may be able to come and catch it if necessary. The county just decided in 2018 that because of budget they cant take care of them. But CA law insures that there are rescues that will help. Find one nearest you.
