Yes, there was an older couple in our raft and there was a group of younger kids in another raft that i saw. Just depends on who you go through as far as the outfit. Call and ask them what their guidelines are.
Yes. The New River whitewater rafting trips are great for both. I had an 8 year old in the raft with me the last time that I went. I don't really see any problem with that but you night want to contact the outfitter and ask them directly.
