Our group of 12 people did the upper New in June. The water was 70 degrees - perfect family adventure. Lunch provided was so much better than I expected - yummy! The resort area where we checked in was clean and so beautiful - perfect place to hang out after and take in the scenery. Our guide Tri Mills was so knowledgeable of area and it's history. He added humor and professionalism to our trip! Highly recommend this outfitter!

Had a great rafting trip. Zach was our guide. Very knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor, and led a really entertaining trip. Our whole group had a blast. Food at the base camp is pretty good, and the cabins are really nice if you want to stay close by and don't feel like camping. We all will definitely be coming back to raft again very soon!

Stayed in the cabins and went rafting with my aunt. It was my first time. Berry took good care of us and was really friendly. Made the experience wonderful. Really nice scenic ride on the new river and the rapids were perfect for me for my first time. They weren't too intense that they scared me but they were strong enough to make it fun. Perfect for my first time. Berry had a lot of historical knowledge of the area and told us a lot about the geography and plant life as well during the trip. Great experience, I really enjoyed it. Hoping to come back soon.

We were in off season, so glad we were able to get a spot with our camper. We were staying for work. We didn’t use any of the facilities nor did any of the adventures unfortunately. Time did allow us to explore the grounds, however as for the campground it was amazing. Our site was RV 2 it was pretty level with a picnic table , fire pit and grill. Very nice. Very quiet and peaceful. Loved having an outside trash can. Check in was easy and staff were very nice. We definitely plan to come back when we have some time to explore. Thank you Adventures on the Gorge for getting us in and letting us stay. We will recommend to everyone we talk to.

We're just doing what we hope others would do for us, Terra! Thanks for the compliments!
Hi Aahana, if you click the "Book Now" button for the adventure you'd like to price, you'll see everything there. It's difficult to post those any other way, since prices change based on season, day of the week and age of participants. Alternatively, Heather's suggestion below is great one! Give us a call, and an Adventure Specialist can walk you through everything: 855-379-8738
Steve is correct, the closest is Yeager Airport in Charleston, WV. It's about an hour and 15 minutes drive from us.
$25 for wetsuit and splash jacket combo, Liam. Call us to add it to your reservation if you're interested.
Looks like everybody covered most of it, Renee. I'll add that we also have a 2-hour trip for those who want to just dip their toes or who are super short on time. Oddly enough, because this is our busiest time of year, we have an easier time accommodating last-minute reservations. This is because we have more trips scheduled and more guides available. Of course, some of that depends on your group size. We can take two people easier than we can take, say, ten. Try to give us 24 hours, if you please, and if the notice is that short, call us to book it, rather than booking online. There you go!
Hi Ana, It depends a bit on the water level and where the river section is in relation to our resort. All things being equal, expect 6-7 hours round trip. That includes bus time to and from the river. With that caveat that if water levels are high, things will be quicker; low and things will be slower. A full day trip is a long section of water, for example, the Full Day Lower New is 14 miles. A REALLY full day involves a longer section. The Gauley Marathon, for example, is a whopping 26 miles long!
I'm sorry, but no. I speak Spanish, a little bit, but it's weird here.
Hi Kathy, I'm trying to find out, but as of this moment, I have no idea!
Hi again, Dayana! Absolutely, you can bring your own kayaks! Be forewarned, we do not offer shuttle services AND during our busy season (especially on weekends) we reserve cabins for people who are also doing one or more of our adventures. But we regularly welcome people who stay in a cabin (or camp), do an adventure with us, AND bring their own adventure gear to augment their vacation!
Hi Dayana. Short answer: yes. Longer answer, we don't have a single-price package that gets you everything included, but give us a call and a reservationist can get you all set up with adventures, lodging and meals on site.
Yes, you're welcome to bring them.
Oh, yes, tons of kayaking. Whether you're a beginner or experienced with your own gear, want lake kayaking or whitewater, it's here. Give us a call, if you'd like to book a trip with us!
Group/reservation only. all the locals can and do play here, you just have to pay like everyone else and follow the rules. Easy!
David is correct! That's Cosmo Scott.
Hi Michelle, yes! We have TreeTops Zipline Canopy Tour open this winter (reservations required), as well as adventures with our partners, Bridge Walk and Epic Escape NRG. Our restaurant, Smokey's Cast Iron Grille is open for dinner Friday through Monday. Oh, and cabins are half off all winter long (through March). I hope that helps!

You can not take yourself or your dog across the bridge. Foot traffic is not allowed except for one day of the year. That is the annual Bridge Day in October. Dogs are not allowed then either. Hope we are talking about the New River Gorge Bridge😉
Hi Kimberly, I'm afraid we don't do the Wednesday night swims anymore. Crystyne suggested the 4h pool. It's a wonderful spot, and dare I say a more fun pool also. Sorry!
I have no idea. I vacation there only. Personally, I wouldn't care if I could afford it. I would just feel blessed to be around The Gorge and the people there. It is AMAZING. If my family would come with me I would move there and work for FREE. Maybe I'll see you there this Summer. I know My Family and I will be there. Good Luck!!!!
Yes, we do in most cabins, William. Deluxe and Mountain-level cabins have them, but not any of our Rustic cabins. For specific info, give us a shout!
Good info below. Check-in time for lodging is 4pm. Our office closes around 9, but if you're going to arrive later, we can place your check-in packet in a box for you (talk to a reservationist about that). Check in time for trips is generally 30 minutes to an hour before your trip time.
Yes. Both do very similar rafting trips though. Very fun.
Its expensive I can't remember exactly its been a while, but it was a two night minimum its best to call and talk to someone in reservation.
