The campsite I had was very nice, the rest of the campground was pretty cool too. But the people that were there at the time we went were the most rude and disrepectful people i've ever met. If you have children GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. The campsites are beautiful but are not designed for small children in the slightest. And the people there are mostly college age entitled douchebags who thought it would be funny to openly and loudly make fun of my daughter and nephew because they were crying. And the communal firepit seems like it would be chill, but by 9pm most of the ones around the fire were super drunk, high, and extremely loud well into the A.M. hours. We ended up leaving a night early and getting a hotel in Beckley. Will 100% not be going to this campground again.

A cool campground to stay in for climbers, but fair warning to van dwellers. The vehicle sites are essentially sections of the gravel road which are a bit wider. Very unlevel, no picnic table, your door will either open up to a drop-off or the middle of the gravel road. I would not consider these spots true camping sites. Your just paying 20 a night to park on the side of their gravel road. The campground seems well designed for tent campers.

Great campground with clean bathrooms and showers. That being said, the discrepancy in price for vehicle camping seems unfair. $16 for a parking spot as opposed to $8 (prices are if you are an aac member) for a tent spot when vehicles will mostly likely use less resources in both space and utilities is not justified imo. As someone who travels and lives in his vehicle, and who would potentially be using these facilities nationwide, I am not likely to utilize aac campgrounds in the future. Fix your prices please.
