If you are going to be in the area anyway, do go. If you are going to be in the area of Glacier National Park. If you are making a special trip I would not recommend going though due to cold weather and an early Sunset and a late sunrise. However if you were going to be within an hour and a half do go but please bring real winter clothing period meaning very warm hat ski or mountaineering parka. Boots suitable for snow slush and lots of moisture with wool socks and ski bibs or loose-fitting pants with long underwear. It could be a lot of fun and who knows you may get to see the aurora borealis or a display of shooting stars. But please Do not drive far out of your way to go in late October unless you love cold weather and very short days and very long nights

Dont go! Its going to be an early winter and it was reported the last storm was to have dropped 14-16" Usually May or June through September the best times to go!

Actually, several areas aee closed as i type by a winter storm. Going to the Sun rd will be closed to through traffic for sure. They do advertise winter activities. Check the website nps.gov

Likely not much to see. Most roads will close soon if they aren't already. Best to check the website for special warnings before you go
