How long should we plan on the drive up and down? Also length of average stay? Thank you.

We used 3 hours

60 minutes at least with stops... You could be longer with traffic... At least 40 minutes at the summit. 25 minutes to get back down

Also, plan for poor weather. Could make your visit last much longer if you are waiting for very slow traffic going back down.

I recommend the 7 mile shuttle, board at mile 7 and relax for the 45 minute ride up and hour ride down. Bring water and spend an hour or so up top

Thw drive up is about 1hour and 30 minutes and the usual stay time is an hour
