The cave was a fun place to visit. There is a lot of period artifacts as well as many geological formations. There is a lot of stairs going down into the cave that you must traverse and the same amount of stairs obviously coming back out. People with difficulty walking I would not recommend it others however it was really fun. Great family place to visit

Went today, our guide was Sammy and she was great. Tour was the right amount of time and lots to see. The property is beautiful and well maintained. I'd recommend wearing a hoody as it's pretty cool underground. There are quite a few stairs so keep that in mind.

Really cool side stop if you are doing Mt. Rushmore OR just going through Rapid City, SD. Shawn is an awesome & funny tour guide. Yours leave on the hour, it's $18 per person, and bring a hoodie or light coat. Allot 2.5-3 hours to include drive up and down.

A worthwhile stop. The cave may not be the most gorgeous one, but there are some neat formations to see and the tour guide was great. I've never been on a tour of a "live" cavern before, complete with dripping ceiling, etc. That's not a negative comment... other caves I've visited look more like abandoned mines, whereas this one is more active.
