You would drive and park. Walking to the site from small parking area is approx. Less than 1/4 of a mile. It is not a long walk at all.
The shortest walk to see ruins at the main Visitor Center is about 75 yards. There is a 0.5 mile loop trail from that view point. The other sites each have trails that take you up close to the ruins that you can see or partially see from the parking lot. I believe the longest trail is the one at Lomaki, maybe 0.75 mile round trip. All of these ruins trails are out and back so you can choose how fast you wish to go. Remember, do not climb or leans on any walls of the ruins. They are fragile. We hope to see you soon! PS. The park map can be viewed at www.nps.gov/WUPA/planyourvisit/images/WUPAmap_small.jpg
