Well we went not too long ago. They told us first come, first served is limited to a one night at a time stay unless the campground is not busy (peak season). We had to move to a different site the next morning. There is plenty more I can tell you about the fees and so on... We will definitely be sticking to our dispersed camping from now on.

If you are planning on a wkend, it's much better to have a reservation, especially if you have to contend with traffic. We couldn't get there until we'll after check-in and the whole campground was full. They do NOT make everyone leave Sunday. However, they DO limit the number of days you can stay consecutively.
It is first come first serve. There are over a hundred sites. They make everybody leave at 1pm on Sunday so that there is constantly room for new campers
