A normal rest stop. Lots of people who live out of their cars; but I think that may be because there is NOWHERE else in this part of town to park your car overnight legally. The right bathroom was in working order, the left one was closed. Wish this area had more free overnight parking or this rest stop had more spots.

2 cars parked right in front of the rest rooms that look like someone live in them. Rest room I was in had no TP, 2 empty rolls. 2 sinks 1 faucet has no water coming out but no sign that says it's out of order! Makes one wonder when the last time an attendant has been there! The stall i was at, however, wasn't dirty just no paper!

Although the rest stop(s) are unbelievably busy and packed all the time, people are respectful and the place seems clean most of the time when passing through. Chill place if you need a moment out of the car, to sleep, or use the restroom. The restrooms are always clean when I'm there, too.

What can I say? It's a reat area. It's convenient, functional and sort of clean. Stop and go is perfect. Extended stays are discouraged.

Questions & Answers

A quick stop to pee, but watch your back. The parking lot is full of people living there. Do not talk to anyone there, they will take advantage of you.

Jackie M R Roberts | Dec 25, 2019

As someone who is homeless and frequents this rest stop I'm not there to take advantage of you. We're there to sleep without getting hassled or to brush our teeth. Most of the time if I'm talking to you it's making human conversation for the sake of conversation.

Theres a sign that says one hour stay only. Are you not aloud to sleep here for more than an hour? That doesnt sound right...

Only some or the spots say 1hour. Others are 2hr and then the spots with no sign are 12hr. I have been one of the homeless that has stayed there. Listen- i own a corvette, its my third and while a bit tight i dont mind sleeping in it at all. And where else can you go that is as safe as the rest stop? I mean that's what you're supposed to do there, be in your car for more than a couple minutes without having the cops run up on you.

The sign on the freeway said that the rest area would be closed March 11th. Is that a one day thing or permanently?

Keri Mcguire | Dec 24, 2019
Debra Glenn | Dec 25, 2019

They usually only close them for a day so they can clean and paint Make any repairs and take care of the grounds, you know some people don't pick up their dog poop lol. If it was going to be closed for more than a day it would of had dates on the sign.

It is not currently open and has not been open for a couple of days. Does anyone know why and for how long it is going to be closed?

Chris Thompson | Dec 24, 2018
Lynn Myers | Dec 25, 2018

It is under repair. It will be closed for about a week more.

What is the homeles count / trashy RVs "permanently" there? I've seen how "overnight" limits work in Seattle. It's a pathetic sad joke. The city is ran by the homless thay don't want help or the Government in their lives...

Where else does the homeless go if they are down on their luck and or can't afford a $1600.00 bachelor apartment? If you're not going to be part of the solution what does it matter to you?! Homeless are people too. There's a lot of people very close to becoming homeless. Don't lump all homeless together, they are not all the same. You should learn to be more compassionate. Someday you may be in their shoes.

You can stay at any rest stop in wa state for up to 24 consecutive hours. Meaning you can stop here overnight. There is an rv dumping station as well as a clean water tank to fill your fresh water holding tank as well. There is no cost for these services. Also, there is a free coffee program run by voulenteers, and vending machines. No public showers, however there are bathrooms though they are not exetremely well maintained unlike others i have visited across the state.

Nice rest stop quiet and clean, RV parking in back, 24 hour parking in places, some are 1hour parking just because it gets really busy at night.
