Is firewood available for purchase and are the fire rings good to cook on?

I don't think there was firewood available in the park. There was a house on the road in about 2 miles back selling wood. Fire rings are standard state park rings with movable rack on top

We stayed at Black walnut bottom camp ground and there was wood already cut at that one near site #15. Otherwise as everybody has been saying there are different places that people sell firewood. I would suggest buying a package of Grill toppers. You can usually purchase them at a Walmart for a couple dollars for three of them. It is basically an aluminum grid that you put on top of the fire ring Grill top

There is not at the park but there are a few places on way up to buy it from locals. Nice fire ring but no rack for cooking. You will find peace and quiet. Esp site #25
