Sunset Beach pier is open from 6 am till 1 am. If you google Sunset Pier you can find further information and a phone number if you need to contact them.
I called a few minutes ago and was told 6am

Truthfully you never know I've gone at different times when they're supposed to be open and they're not and other times when they're not supposed to be open and find people there. I think a lot of it early in the season anyway has to do with the weather and whether they think it's worth opening or not.
