Also, dogs are not allowed in the visitor center or inside the fort. They can be outside the fort, on the trails, and on the beach. To be more specific. It is friendly for animals in the sense there ar designated areas, and the park rangers left all animal owners alone I watched. The area is paid for by tax payers so there aren't a lot of rules that can be implemented.

Dog are allowed any where inthe park except for the building and the actual civil war fort. There is a nice patio to wait with the dog while others explore the fort.
