Its a dirt road for about a mile to 3 miles from the pay station.

Yes. The road is paved all the way up to the parking lot. It is a little bumpy though once you go through the gate so be careful. Dont forget the $5 to pay the entrance fee! 😊

I believe it was. However; it has significant dips as you drive from the official entry to the parking area.
