Our guide was very bubbly and I'm not aware of anyone not being able to hear her. I would have to agree that you likely had some overly noisy people in your train car. I also have some difficulty with my hearing, but again, I could hear everything our guide said.

We had no problem hearing either. The Male guide outside had a microphone. We had a blast. We will be doing more of those train rides if they have them we're we go on vacations.
I knew the area and what was spoken had no problem understanding. Must of had noisy neighbors.
My wife and I hd no issues either and I do have a hearing issue. Could it be that fellow travellers would not shut up to allow others to hear. I encounter this kind of lack of courtesy all the time these days.
That's too bad. My party had no problems u derstanding.
