I don't know for sure about that, but in my personal experience I buy my rolled oats from Bob's in bulk. They are then stored in a closed container in a dry, dark, cool place. I have never had an issue with them changing color, flavor or anything else. Never even considered them "expiring". So, I think the storage would be the determining factor. Hope this helps.
Don't know, mine are gone before the expiration date
If stored sealed and in a cool place, yes.
We roll our own oats from grouts from Bob's at home, usually enough for a month at a time. We store them in a closed container , and they always taste as fresh, as the 1st day.
I think so. But I'd only eat a few months after and it depends on where and how stored. I'd give 6mo if they were in freezer, but you run risk of them getting freezer burn.
I would think that as long as the package is still sealed that it should still be viable.
If not buggy, yes. Store in freezer or freeze.
Inspect and use your best judgment.
Yes
Give them a taste test. Some people are more sensitive. All grains will oxidize, break done and loose vitality over time.
