Lots of great products available and the staff was very friendly. We came in for some rolled oats and left with much more including full bellys from a homestyle breakfast. I had the breakfast sandwich with cheese and sausage on a biscuit and it left me feeling very satified. Nice little spot to stop in on a sleepy Sunday morning.

Nice trip to mid twentieth century. Very friendly staff and ambiance. They had a specific product which I was unable to find anywhere else without paying 200% more for shipping.

This store is so good though somewhat smaller than it looks from the impression given by the iconic water mill churning dutifully out front. Nevertheless, the employees are friendly and helpful with questions and the prices are good for the quality of what you are getting. Hard to find a better product. The only thing I would mention is that some modest regrouping of some of the pantry items could be useful as a few items seemed to be in more than one aisle. Great place to load up or find a gift for someone.

Anything you want and more when it comes to Bob's RedMill flours, grains and specialty foods. Also has lots of cool kitchen tools and gifts. Such a great shopping experience with tables up above the shopping area to sit and enjoy fresh baked goodies from their bakery counter while you watch your partner fill the cart with $300. worth of Bob's stuff!!😅🤣🤙 It was "free coffee day" when we were there.

One reviewer posts that you can no longer get breakfast during lunch and that it's a recent change. Is this true? 12.3.2018

We went to eat there and arrived early enough for the breakfast offerings, the lunch menu began at 11a.m. and only a few breakfast items after that. I was told at cafe counter that on weekends you can still have breakfast items all day.

Are rolled oats still good beyond expiration date on package?

Gloria Gail Kivela | Jul 25, 2018
Lucille Snellgrove | Jul 26, 2018

I don't know for sure about that, but in my personal experience I buy my rolled oats from Bob's in bulk. They are then stored in a closed container in a dry, dark, cool place. I have never had an issue with them changing color, flavor or anything else. Never even considered them "expiring". So, I think the storage would be the determining factor. Hope this helps.

What measurement of Bob's Red Mill soy protein powder is equivalent to one large white egg?

LaDon Larson | Jul 25, 2018
Rob Melton | Jul 26, 2018

Bob's Red Mill makes a gluten free vegan egg replacer but it does not have soy in it. They also sell soy protein powder, as you know. Generally, you use 1 Tablespoon soy protein powder to 3 Tablespoons water to replace an egg. There are other ways to replace an egg in a recipe, such as using 1/4 Cup of mashed banana, a1/4 Cup of unsweetened applesauce, or 1 Tablespoon of ground flax with 3 T water. The classic recipe is 2 T water, 1 t oil, and 2 t baking powder in place of one egg.

Hi I have allergy for SOY and GLUTEN. I bought the all-purpose baking flour gluten free that says on the back(manufactured in a facility that also uses SOY). Should i avoid using this kind of product? Is there any cross contamination? Thank you

Generally that means a company does not use a separate kitchen or facility for gluten- and/or soy-free products. But, the equipment is cleaned thoroughly prior to processing and some times use different equipment altogether. That means while there is a possibility of cross contamination, it is slim.
