You certainly could as long as you have your own shuttle back. There is no outfitter that will pickup or drop off there. There's a boat ramp below the dam so easy enough to get in and out.
I actually don’t know how far it goes, I thought you can go forever. There was a little motor boat going by at some point, so I’m assuming it keeps going forever.
