Can u get in the water?

Yes. Not reccomended for small children without good supervision, pretty good currents here. It is a beautiful place.

You can wade in the shallow part at the top of the falls, and there's a small beach area as well. Then there's the deep area where people jump in around the waterfalls.

Yes. Super fun place to swim but you have to climb a rope to get out or swim about 40 feet for an easier way out.

Yes, there is nothing preventing you from getting in the water, but also nothing marks a "too far" point or prevents anyone from being swept right off the falls, either.
