The atmosphere here is very relaxing and beautiful. We spent some time just sitting on some side rocks next to the waterfall while worshiping God and admiring His creation. Worth the visit to Downtown. ♥️

Park on street right at entrance. The walkway give a spectacular view of the falls. Go down below and be at the base of falls. Also go above falls to the river feeding it. Enjoy nature. Lots if shops. Geese offered a cool experience as they came a cross river to where I was sitting to eat grass.

Beautiful and relaxing walk in the middle of the city. Great views all around. In the summer, it is very hot, so be sure to bring some water and stay hydrated. A few public restrooms are scattered throughout the path as well, which is great. Lots of history so if you're a nerd for learning like I am, there are a few plaques to read which I found interesting.

Absolutely gorgeous park that brings the city together as it shows the harmonious symbioticness between the river falls and skyscrapers. The extensive walking path purposely weaves everyone through the landscape with great views of the waterfall. The Liberty Bridge politely calls attention to its engineering marvel. What a great place to spend an afternoon people watching and soaking up the city vibe. Also a great place to take the pets!

That is a spring house. See more details here: https://www.greenvilleonline.com/story/news/local/2014/12/11/qamy-jail-cell-falls-park/20256685/
Yes, it's easy access. My parents & grandparents loved it. There are elevators as well if stairs are too strenuous or for wheelchair access, plenty of spots to sit and rest slong with places to grab a bite to est
Yes, and inside the elevator tower by liberty bridge are water coolers with fresh water and doggy dishes.
Yes, but please keep your children leashed at all times. Alligators have been brought in to deal with unleashed dogs
I'll simply cite Wikipedia here: "With an estimated population of 67,453 as of 2016, it is the sixth-largest city in the state. The population of the surrounding area was 400,492 as of 2010, making it the third-largest urban area in South Carolina as well as the fastest growing. Greenville is the largest city in the Greenville-Anderson-Mauldin Metropolitan Statistical Area. The MSA had a population of 884,975 in 2016, making it the largest in South Carolina and the third largest in The Carolinas."
The park and bridge is not a huge space but the area covers several blocks that include shops, hotels, restaurants, and several other attractions.
4 miles or less
Not a fishing spot.
