Yes you can swim, or at least I have seen people swimming. If you follow the trail around the lake there is one spot by a cliff where there is a rope on a tree that you can swing & let go to land in the water but understand that it's at your own risk.
NO BECAUSE THERE ARE SNAKES AND THERE IS NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY.
