Do you take in pets? I found a red eared slider near my house that my neighbor has raised from a baby and i know you aren't supposed to release them into the wild.

You could ask the zoo if they would take it. The zoo definitely takes in surrendered pets and it would get cared for and have a great place to live. We do have wild red eared sliders in NM but releasing a pet into the wild is dangerous and could easily kill him because he doesn't know how to survive.

I would call and ask.

Not sure. You should call and ask. They said they couldn't take the domestic ducks from tingle beach. So I'm not sure.
