I used to donate blood and platelets all the time but this place has gone completely down hill. Last couple times i scheduled they called and rescheduled me. (Guess there isnt that big of a need for blood).

Quit harassing people with calls.

I've come here 4-6 times a year for over a decade. The staff is very friendly, professional, well-trained, and skilled.

I've come here 4-6 times a year for over a decade. The staff is very friendly, professional, well-trained, and skilled. Whole-blood donations are pretty quick. (Platelets and other donation types take longer). The donor's wellbeing is clearly a top priority. If you are able and willing to donate blood, don't wait until there's a disaster in the news! Blood is a very perishable resource, so too much at a time and it gets wasted. Hospitals need a regular, everyday supply, and there's almost always a shortage. Give regularly. Every 8 weeks if you can. You get free snacks, a free blood pressure, hemoglobin, and cholesterol test (total # only, but still good to know), get treated like a hero, and feel good about contributing to the health of your community. They also have a points system for rewards if you want to get free movie tickets, t-shirts, gift cards, etc. Parking is kinda limited in the circle lot up front but there's extra parking in the lot just north of the very-red building.

Other answers are correct for blood. However, if you donate platelets or plasma, it takes longer. If you're doing platelets, the donation can take as long as two hours.
You get points Nd then the points add up to gift cards for like restaurant or amazon, or target, etc.
This is a non-profit and they do not compensate donors. You do get the satisfaction of knowing you've helped out patients in need of blood, and they give you sweet and salty snacks after your donation. You can also earn points to redeem for gift cards.
I am sure they do, but I am easy of Albuquerque and seldom are in that area. JJ
Driver's license will work.
I dont donate whole blood that much, I do donate plates or plasma every 2 weeks though.
You can visit without an appointment, but having one speeds things up considerably.
you will need to call United Blood Services
Yes you can because on their website it says you need to weigh at least 110lbs.
