I am diabled & live in a low income gov subsidized 55+ housing. My income is fom soc sec & my disability pension. Iv just been informed of a rent increase of $106/mo for a 1 bdrm. After Medicare ded my COLA is $21.50. Is this legal? My rent increased from $827-$933/mo+ $25 covered parking. Someone need to help us!! My income falls within the 50% range, yet they charge me 60% with all kinds of loopholes that prevent me from being fairly charged.
