If you plan on going to the dig site, how much time should you allow? Are there certain hours for the dig? Planning to detour here, so I want to be prepared.

You need to call so you can get into a group. Also to select when and how long. I think they only go out on certain days of the week.

We went to the dig site and would reconmend it highly. There are specific times. There was so much to see at the museum that we spent nearly a full day. I would call them and book on so you are guaranteed a space.

I would highly recommend calling ahead of time... We detoured over these last summer (adorable little town, with several other sights in and around!) and unfortunately just missed the bus out, but still enjoyed the museum. Anyway- They have specific times the buses leave for and return from the dig sites, if you call- the staff is super helpful and great though so you can get the info you need. :)
